Our customers come from an eclectic mix of  industries with very different needs. Keenedge is therefore prepared and equipped to deal with varying degrees of production volume and specialist requirements. Some businesses such as those processing medical materials require strict hygiene measures to be in place. We cater for these requirements by using the correct, protective clothing for staff as well as carrying out meticulous and thorough cleaning to meet the high standards our customers have come to expect from us.

Filtration Materials – We cut to size a variety of different woven and non-woven filtration materials which can be in the form of cartridge filters in vacuum cleaners, industrial dust filtration and general air filtration.

Military Materials – We slit and heat-seal the nylon that is used to produce parachutes for the military, some of which are used to drop marine monitoring devices into the sea.

Safety Materials – Nylon that is used in the manufacture of car airbags comes to us to be cut into narrow tapes which are then sewn onto the seams of the airbags.

Medical Materials – Wound dressings are a major part of our business and vary from the pad contained on the inside of a sticking plaster to high-tech materials which have the ability to absorb more than their own volume of liquid .

Renewable Energies – We cut to size woven nylon for the blades of wind turbines. The nylon is placed on top of the material as it is cured and then peeled off afterwards, to provide a woven pattern on the surface for the next level to key into.

Mining and shipping – We supply a nylon tape used in the manufacture of rubber cables which are predominantly used in mining and shipping.

The rapidly changing status of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak across the world and the UK is having a significant impact on many of our customers and suppliers. Obviously, our priority is the safety of our staff, customers and others, so we are keeping up to date with the government announcements and following the guidelines.

As a Company we have a duty of care to not only our employees but also to our clients and any others that may be affected by our actions to ensure, so far as is practicable, that they are not exposed or able to spread the virus.

We have issued internal guidance to all Keenedge Ltd employees with regard to controlling the spread of the virus and, in particular the procedures for general hygiene and hand washing. As you may know Keenedge Ltd services the medical industry and we are absolutely committed to stringent hygiene measures and ensuring our outstanding levels of quality continue.

We also appreciate that, unless the government determines otherwise, business must go on and Keenedge Ltd will continue to operate and remain open, although we are operating at a reduced staff level so please may we ask for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.

There may be slight delays with converting your orders due to reduced staffing levels and there are also minor delays with the pallet network due to a higher volume of pallets being shipped and also other business closures resulting in non-deliveries and therefore busier hubs and depots.

We are also not visiting customers in person, nor receiving visitors at our office. Our logistics partners have introduced measures to minimise contact with you when they make deliveries, and for drivers to increase personal hygiene while on the road between deliveries.

Please let us know if there are any access restrictions or requirements on your site that we need to be aware of in the coming weeks and days, please contact us at info@cutting.co.uk or call us on 01539 561800.

On a final note, we are here to help and if there is anything we can do to assist in these unknown and somewhat frightening times, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

On behalf of everyone at Keenedge Ltd, please take care and stay safe.
