Our customers come from an eclectic mix of industries with very different needs. Keenedge is therefore prepared and equipped to deal with varying degrees of production volume and specialist requirements. Some businesses such as those processing medical materials require strict hygiene measures to be in place. We cater for these requirements by using the correct, protective clothing for staff as well as carrying out meticulous and thorough cleaning to meet the high standards our customers have come to expect from us.
BELOW ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF THE SORT OF MATERIALS WE PROCESS AND HOW THE END PRODUCT IS USED IN THE INDUSTRY
Filtration Materials – We cut to size a variety of different woven and non-woven filtration materials which can be in the form of cartridge filters in vacuum cleaners, industrial dust filtration and general air filtration.
Military Materials – We slit and heat-seal the nylon that is used to produce parachutes for the military, some of which are used to drop marine monitoring devices into the sea.
Safety Materials – Nylon that is used in the manufacture of car airbags comes to us to be cut into narrow tapes which are then sewn onto the seams of the airbags.
Medical Materials – Wound dressings are a major part of our business and vary from the pad contained on the inside of a sticking plaster to high-tech materials which have the ability to absorb more than their own volume of liquid .
Renewable Energies – We cut to size woven nylon for the blades of wind turbines. The nylon is placed on top of the material as it is cured and then peeled off afterwards, to provide a woven pattern on the surface for the next level to key into.
Mining and shipping – We supply a nylon tape used in the manufacture of rubber cables which are predominantly used in mining and shipping.
